Trifari reigned as The Rhinestone Kings for nearly a century. It became famous for it's glittery treasures that could transform drab into dramatic. A hint of sparkle could close the deal. Trifari knew how to play and it's audience adored the game.
The brooch offered, circa mid '50s to early '60s, features a swirly, vine like crescent shape in gold tone cup set with variously sized pear shaped clear rhinestones. It measures approximately 2 1/8 inches x 1 5/8 inches with a maximum 1/2 inch profile or height. Rhinestones range from about 7 millimeters x 4 millimeters to 10 millimeters x 6 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is approximately 16 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All rhinestones intact and brilliant. No dark or dead stones. No chips, cracks, nicks or breaks to stones. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of brooch is signed within a rectangular cartouche: "TRIFARI" followed by copyright symbol. Circa 1955-1960s.
