The base of this marvelous '60s vintage gold tone brooch begins with a circle of translucent oval, jade green glass cabochons. Five stations of finely veined three leaf half rosettes anchored with dogtooth prong set olivine chaton rhinestones flutter above. Stand out design, exquisite stones and precise metal work suggest the work of a high quality designer.
The brooch measures about 2 1/8 inches across with a 3/8 inch profile or height. Oval cabs are approximately 18 millimeters x 13 millimeters; chaton rhinestones, about 9 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is approximately 24 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All component original and intact. All glass cabs free from chips, nicks, scratches, cracks or breaks. Wonderful jade green color and glowing translucence. Olivine rhinestones retain color and like new brilliance. Gold tone finish intact, front and back. No rubs or wear. No dents, improper bends, crush or collapse to metal components. All soldering neat and secure. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
