Kramer of New York's long and illustrious position as one of the top costumer jewelry manufacturers, collaborating with the likes of Christian Dior, is a testament to it's ability to introduce, as well as, follow trends. Much of it's inventory was top shelf, utilizing the best in stones and finishes, in this case marquise givre (frosted) rhinestones with complimenting chaton rhinestones set into rich rhodium plated metal. A center spine of alternating chatons in ice blue and snow gray play up the light sapphire and silver slivers in the givre rhinestones...and, with the flick of the wrist, flashes of golden peach. Kramer gets it right with it's premium presentation of the givre.
The bracelet measures about 7 inches x 1 inch with a push in box type clasp. Profile is approximately 5/16 inch. Givre marquises are about 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Chatons, about 7 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is about 44 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All stones original and intact. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Givre stones retain treatments -- each stone a bit different from the next. Chaton rhinestones retain color and sparkle. All rhodium plate intact, front and back. All soldering secure. Links secure with no bends or twists. Clasp strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs.
Reverse of clasp is signed in block caps: "KRAMER". Design, materials, colors, and construction in conjunction with mark, date this bracelet to circa 1960s.
From the golden age of rhinestones, Kramer gives you the givre. Feast on the frost. At Cody's.
