Four graduated layers of sparkling emerald and chaton cut rhinestones add up to one great pyramid shaped brooch. Circa 1950s-1960s, the silver tone triangular brooch boasts glass stones that graduate in size as the brooch's decreasing sized layers come to a point. It is a brilliant architectural as well as artistic feat. Strategic interior soldering and reinforcement rods add strength and durability. If you like you brooches big and tall, read on...
The brooch measures about 2 1/4 inches across and 1 1/8 inches tall. The largest emerald cut stones are about 9 millimeters x 6 millimeters. The largest chatons are approximately 7 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is about 32 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All stones intact and very brilliant. There are no dark, cloudy, yellow or dead stones. All silver tone finish intact, front and back. Bar pin back secure. Shaft has slight bend not affecting strength or function. All soldering and rods in place with no weakness nor collapse. No damage / no repairs. Clean and ready to wear.
The brooch is not signed. Trust us -- it doesn't matter with this one. Gorgeous composition and stone work.
Sumptuously stacked. Brilliantly bedazzled. The pyramid pick of the pack.
