Exuberant and energetic, Coro's 1940s vintage bow brooch extols the virtues of more is better. The generously proportioned pin features large, loopy, lustrous ribbon embellished at center with an oval amethyst colored rhinestone. Three sprigs shoot out tipped with clear oval rhinestones capped with small accent chaton rhinestones. Certainly, everything about Coro's interpretation is enhanced. Splashy and specific. A power pin of the '40s!
The brooch measures about 3 5/8 inches x 2 inches with a 1/2 inch profile. Oval stones are approximately 9 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is about 24 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. Riveted rhinestone accents remain secure. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. No rubs, stains, verdigris, scratches, scuffs, dents or improper bends. All rhinestones intact and brilliant with no cloudy, dark or dead stones. Great color retention in the faux amethyst stone. Pin back secure. No damage / no repairs. Pristine 1940's vintage condition.
Reverse of brooch is signed in familiar '40s era script "Coro".
