With a huge Hollywood hurrah mid century rhinestone brooches fed the fever that bigger, bolder and brighter were better. To wit: the '50s-'60s vintage silver tone brooch presented. Large marquise cut blue aurora borealis rhinestones glitter, arranged in a crescent or comma shape amid swirling aurora borealis accent chatons and two larger blue ab chaton rhinestones at center of wave.

The brooch measures a generous approximate 3 inches x 2 1/8 inches at it's widest point with a maximum 1/2 inch profile or height. Marquise rhinestones are about 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters; largest chaton, 11 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is 27.9 grams.

Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. Rhinestones retain ab finish, color and sparkle. No off, cloudy or dead stones. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to stones. All secure within pronged settings. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All soldering secure. Silver tone finish intact, front and back. Pin mechanism strong and secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.

The brooch is unsigned. Excellent quality. Circa 1950s-1960s.
