The late great Lane. The legend lives on in Kenneth Jay Lane's double diamante star brooch. Inner silver tone stars are paved with clear chaton rhinestones. Separate shiny gold tone stars trace. Positioned at angles with each star in a stylized "stretch", Lane offers his special take on the galaxy of glitter.
The brooch measures approximately 2 7/8 inches x 2 1/4 inches with a 1/2 inch profile or thickness. Weight of the brooch is about 22 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and sparkly. No dents or improper bends to metal components. Gold tone and silver tone finishes intact, front and back. Border gold tone stars' back braces in place securely riveted to silver tone stars. Pin mechanism secure. Pin shaft has slight bend not affecting function. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of the brooch is signed within an oval cartouche: "KENNETH" underscored with copyright symbol and "LANE". Circa early-mid 1990s.
