What a fantastic and rare little tintype, tin type, of a young girl hanging clothes on a line. It looks like she is playing house, as this is an indoor shot. There is a wash basin at her feet and a table and mirror next to her. She is dressed in the cutest outfit, middy blouse, white skirt and boots. The image measures 3" by 2", so it is a narrow sixth plate.

Behind the image is printed the studio that took the picture. It reads, "From TRASK's, 159 N. 8th St. Below Race, Philadelphia. Finished in Fifteen Minutes. Taken as well in cloudy as in fair weather.". The image has been placed in a paper frame of the period. It is an off white color with an embossed star border. The bottom reads "Patent Applied For". The frame measures 3 3/4" by 2 1/2".

The tintype is in fine antique condition. The frame has slight wear by one of the stars, and bottom clipped corners. A very desirable and unusual image.
