These unused Kramer earrings feature some great colors. They probably date from the 1960's. Each gold tone earring is set with 7 foil backed rhinestones. The yellowish peridot color rhinestone on the earring top measures about 6mm in diameter, the pear shapes in the cluster measures about 4mm x 6mm.They are pink, blue(dark aqua shade of color), purple(amethyst color range), and a shrieking green. All these rhinestones are prong set. There are also two small round accent rhinestones which are cemented in place.
The earrings measure about 1 3/8" long. They are marked Kramer and have screwback non-pierced fittings. They are on the original card, announcing The Diamond Look by Kramer.
I recently uncovered a box of costume beads which had been stored about 25 to 30 years ago, and was pleased to find about 30 mint and unused Kramer pieces. Many were carded, and the majority seem to be 1960’s production, when Kramer was promoting their Diamond Look line. Kramer produced pieces from 1943 to 1980 and was well known for their mimicry of fine diamond jewelry using quality rhinestones. Marks included Kramer of NY, Kramer of NY City, and Kramer, sometimes on an oval plaque. They also appear to have made a number of unmarked pieces.
Item will be shipped insured first class, for domestic customers, in a padded envelope, packed in a cotton filled nest box, which will have a layer of bubble wrap around it. I will gladly combine shipping and have a number of other Kramer pieces listed, for a coordinated look.
