This is a wonderful early ironstone plate with paneled edges. The edge is decorated with raised clusters of grapes and leaves. The leaves and grapes are hand painted. There is a small magenta flower hand painted in the center. The plate is unmarked. It dates to around the mid 1800’s.
The plate measures approximately 8 ½" in diameter.
The condition is good. There are no chips, cracks but there are some normal imperfections that occur in the manufacture. There is a small stain on the rim next to one of the grape clusters and some crazing consistent with age.
