This is a wonderful early dark blue transferware plate. The manufacturer is J. Clementson. The pattern is called Tillenberg. The plate has a wonderful scene of a lake with a Chinese building and tall trees. The border has flowers and oriental houses. The plate dates to around the mid 1800’s. The back of the plate has a number 12 one it in blue glaze and the manufacturer’s mark. The back of the plate shows wear, some discoloration, and has a hairline in the shape of an x that does not go through to the front of the plate. There is crazing on the plate, which is, normal for its age and there are several small chips on the rim. It measures approximately 10" in diameter..
