You can't miss with 'Lis'. That's how we feel about costume jewelry made by Lisner. They started making jewelry circa 1904 and didn't stop till the mid-1980s. Until the 1930s, much of Lisner's jewelry was imported from Europe and was sold on a wholesale basis. Lisner was the US importer and distributor of Schiaparelli jewelry, importing Schiaparelli's French-made pieces and distributing and producing her jewelry and accessories in the U.S.
Lisner first used their name in 1938 after building a jewelry operation in Rhode Island.
This vintage Lisner pin is circa 1950s. It's silvertone metal in an openwork floral design...looks like untarnished rhodium-plate. A group of flowers are set with electric blue aurora borealis rhinestones.
The pin measures 2 1/2 by 1 3/8 inches. The back has a secure rollover clasp and is signed LISNER. Excellent vintage condition.
