One of the marvels of antique hand painted Limoges porcelain is that no two pieces will be exactly alike, each a treasure in its own right. This lovely wide, scalloped rim tray has wonderful pink, yellow, and red roses with green leaves on a very pale blue ground. The floraform handle is fashioned as a split flower stem with flower thumb rest. The tray measures 11" wide x 6 5/8" across. There are no chips or cracks, some loss to the gilding on the handle's flower edge as pictured and along the rim. There is an impressed number on the reverse indicating the white ware blank. If memory serves, this is a Guerin piece. Lovely to display, and we can imagine some fine Belgian chocolates or truffles arranged on this dish at your next gathering--how beautiful!
