A colorful abstract limited edition print by Hungarian American artist Gabor F. Peterdi (1915-2001). Peterdi was born in Pestujhely, Hungary and studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, the Academy Belle in Rome, and the Academy Julian in Paris. He associated with the Stanley William Hayter Atelier 17, eventually moving to America in 1939, settling in Connecticut and teaching at the Yale University School of Art, becoming known for his his intaglio prints and engravings although he worked in a variety of media and themes. This limited edition abstract print is numbered in pencil lower left 49/150 and signed and dated 68 lower right, and housed under glass in a molded black frame with gilt highlight. Dimensions: 19” h x 23 ½” w, actual; 24 ½” h x 32 ¼” w, framed, with some frame edge losses and slight rippling.
