This is a lovely silver (sterling) locket and chain. The chain is a rope chain, quite thick, and all is in excellent condition. The locket is circa 1890. The inside has a place where two photos could be placed, but there is no glass inside. The locket measures 2 and 1/2 inches North to South, counting bale, and 1 and 1/4 inches East to West. The closure for the locket is tight and secure. The chain measures 27 inches long. This is a very nice piece, and the chain is exceptional. Of course, the chain could also be used for other pieces of jewelry.
