This burnout velvet evening jacket is perfect for those winter dress events. The loose design by Linda Darnell Designs makes it drape elegantly for a stunning look over a black dress or dress slacks. It is constructed of a stunning black velvet with burgundy red geometric and paisley accents. The surrounding velvet has been treated with the devore method to leave sheer black panels surrounding the accents. For the photos, it was draped over a white sheet making these sheer panels appear too light. They are black in actuality. The dolman sleeves create a lovely drape effect. This piece has been constructed of panels 20 inches wide. There is a deep V at the shoulder blades with a horizontal bar of 5.5 inches at the top of the shoulders for stabilization. The fringe is 6 inches in length adding to the evening wear capabilities. There is a scarf of the same material included. Measurements: armhole to armhole 39 inches; hip vent to hip vent across the back 40 inches; front panels each 20 inches wide; sleeve openings 8.5 inches. Sleeves drape below the elbow. The matching scarf is 9.5 inches wide and constructed of two panels each 38 inches long with the 6 inch fringe as seen on the jacket. Mailed in an oversized box to avoid wrinkles. This is an elegant jacket, I am worried the photos do not do it justice, nor does my descriptive skills. 225
