I fell in love with this set of six Mid-Century glasses with their gold shutters and blue reverse balcony motif, and I think you will, too! Each highball tumbler is decorated with a gold design of panels of slightly open shutters with a glimpse of white grillwork like a New Orleans balcony beyond. Each panel has the louvers of the shutters topped with gold-on-gold scrollwork and geometric designs. A very striking feature is the reverse of the gold from inside the glass - a soft, medium blue!
Each tumbler measures 5-5/8 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter.
The gold shows the blue reverse on the inside, typical of the earliest of the Hollywood Regency style barware of the 1950s and early 1960s. There is no mark.
The gold shows very little wear, mainly near the edges of the design, but the pattern is still shiny and clear, and these make a nice vintage set. One tumbler has some faint residue on the gold. This may wash off, but I will leave that to you, as I do not want to cause damage to the pattern. It was recommended by the manufacturers of this delicate gold process that this barware should always be washed by hand. There are no chips.

These are not marked, and I have been unable to verify the manufacturer, but Culver, Georges Briard, and other well-known companies of the time are known to have used this gold reverse.
