Classic 1920s wool knit tank swimsuit labled Indera Figure Fit of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
We are offering this as an antique collectible, however it could be worn as it is in remarkable condition.
We have seen these framed and used as decor in vintage shops as well as being seasonally displayed on mannequins, too.
This has a deeply scooped neckline in front and back as well as deeply cut arm holes. It is a step in with leg openings and a dropped waistline seam from which falls a very short skirt.
The color is a deep, dark midnight blue to black. We have lightened our images to show detail better.
There is a single metal button on the top of one of the shoulder straps.
This fits our standard size 6 mannequin very nicely; it could possibly stretch to fit a smidge larger size, but it does look good on our 6.
Bust: at rest: 30”, up to 36” gently stretched
23” long from top of shoulder strap to dropped waist seam
29.5” long from top of shoulder to hem of skirt
31 (at rest) up to 36” around at the dropped waist seam
6.5” from hem to hem across the crotch panel.
6.75” from dropped waist seam to the hem of the leg
Leg openings 18” at rest up to 21” around
Freshly hand laundered, laid flat to dry. We did find a small mend somewhere on the tummy section before but cannot find it now to try to photograph it. Sorry, but I guess that’s a good thing.
