About Webberley AntiquesFor over 40 years I have worked with antiques. Like my parents and grandparents I have a genuine deep rooted passion for antique furniture and I specialise in 17th and 18th Century British and European furniture with a particular interest in early English walnut.
Our old family name was Webberley and in the 18th & 19th centuries many men in the family worked as cabinet makers and coach builders. Henry Webberley built one of Queen Victoria's carriages and it is still used by the British Royal Family today.
When I was able to open my first shop it felt right that it should carry the family name. In the last fifteen years I have also built a successful online business - developing excellent relationships with knowledgeable buyers and first time collectors around the World. Many of my clients return to buy Webberley pieces time and time again and I regularly source fine antiques for my customers.

It is difficult to buy antiques from photographs as they can only give an impression of the piece and you need to see and touch furniture to know if it is right for you. So if you cannot come to East Sussex to view, simply ask for ‘home approval’. If you like the piece when you see it, you can buy it on the spot. If for any reason at all an item does not suit when it arrives - simply return it with the courier and we will refund you in full – all we ask you to pay is a contribution towards the cost of returning the piece to us (usually £40-£60)
