About UsI bought my first piece of vintage costume jewelry as a teenager. I had no clue who ART was. Simply mesmerized by the ornate link panels set with rhinestones, and pearls, and the massive cut glass cabs, I was drawn to it. A moth to the the flame of vintage jewelry and the start of collecting for thirty years.
Vintage costume jewelry, and accessories, from the 1940s through the 1960s remain my first love; from Mid-Century Copper Art Jewelry, to the exquisite craftsmanship and creativity of Schreiner, Hattie Carnegie, Alice Caviness, Boucher, Weiss, and more. I buy, and sell, what makes my heart sing; offering a range of styles and prices to suit your mood and the occasion. One of the things I love most is finding lesser known vintage jewelry designers, like Little Nemo, and Reinad, whose quality and designs hold up against the best, but don't yet command the prices. Some of the lines sold through home parties, Emmons and Judy Lee in particular, are fabulous, and well worth a second look. Vintage scarves and handbags are my go-to on a daily basis.
These pieces whisper stories of another life, dancing to Cole Porter, the scent of vintage gardenia, the satin lining of a cashmere coat.
I sold my retail stores and have been selling online since 1998, finding my perfect home at Ruby lane early 2014. Now I work in my sun-filled studio with my two rescue dogs. Doing, and sharing, what I love.
I realize you have plenty of options in shopping online, and appreciate the time you took to visit Vintage Gin. I hope you find a little, or a lot, of what you fancy!
