About Us

Welcome to Victory Jewels and Antiques!

This shop is the culmination of over 40 years of experience working with and collecting select jewels and antiques. My passion is fine jadeite, antique/vintage jewellery, Asian antiques, and European decorative arts.

I was fortunate to apprentice in the art of fine jewellery creation and design with a legendary Vancouver master craftsman, Ed J. Trayling. Mr. Trayling started in the jewellery manufacturing business in 1915 and was well versed in Belle Epoque/Edwardian fabrication techniques. With this training I am able to examine a jewel and determine if its construction is authentic for its period or an example of modern workmanship.

The uniqueness of each piece of jade has been a lifelong fascination. The subtle nuances of translucency, varied shades of colour and the character that is unique for each piece is one of nature's wonders. I have an extensive collection of green and lavendar jadeite as well as white nephrite. Each piece speaks to the beholder in a different way - such is the personal nature of collecting jade. I hope that these pieces speak to you in a delightful personal way too.
