About UsSt. John & Myers is Central Kentucky's only expert in antique and period jewelry, custom design and restoration of antique jewelry. When it comes to acquiring jewelry, you want to purchase from people of integrity, who are passionate and knowledgeable. When you shop with St. John and Myers Jewelry that is exactly what you will find. If you are ever in Lexington Kentucky, please come in and visit the store!
Louis and his wife, Olivia, have built St. John & Myers into one of the leading antique and period jewelry stores in the region. One of just 3 independent retailers in Kentucky to be included in the invitation-only network, Preferred Jewelers International. In 2013, St. John & Myers was listed as one of America’s Coolest Stores by Instore Magazine. Out of thousands of stores in the country, InStore Magazine annually elects just 20 to join this elite group of "cool stores". As they describe it, "Established in 2002, the "America's Coolest Stores" award is one of the biggest honors..."
Louis Scholz, a Professional Gemologist from the Columbia School of Gemology, has been in the industry over 30 years. Before starting a jewelry store in late 2007 in Central Kentucky, Louis worked in different niches of the industry, including repair, gold refining, and an antiques store in Baltimore, MD. In the mid-1980s, Louis discovered his love - antique and period jewelry. He is a member of the American Gem Society (AGS), the Diamond Council of America (DCA), and the 24K Club. Louis appeared as an expert on the tv show, Kentucky Collectibles starting in 2010.
