About UsGREETINGS! I'm Scott "Scotty" Langer, from Rochester NY and living in Marietta (Atlanta) GA for now. I'm 62, a Leo, a disabled old Hippie, and still learning all I can about the glass I love.
I've been to 16 countries so far, and have visited at least one museum in every one. Over the years, I have developed an interest in both the Fine and Decorative Arts. I found that I had a preference for glass. And while I can appreciate how spectacular some contemporary glass can be, I most enjoy viewing and collecting pieces from around 1870 to 1930. I believe this period to be the most innovative time in the history. I'm as much in awe of the skill of those craftsmen now as I was when I first started out a few years back.
"How in the world did they make that?" is my Mantra and my motivation, and I hope to meet others with the same sense of wonder. I look for moderately-priced quality pieces which I can enjoy and then sell at fair prices so that I can not only search for more, but also expand my reference library. By the way, I'm not one to post pics of my items if they serve no useful purpose (like 5 pics of the same view, for instance), or write treacly florid prose.
Thank You for reading this, and I hope to get to know you.
