This old cookbook is one of the classic standards and general go-to for many American cooks. The popular book covers all the basics of cooking including methods, measurements, equivalents and terms besides having recipes covering everything from appetizers to desserts and everything in between. There are both black and white and color photos throughout making it very helpful. It has 400 pages with an index at the back and hard stock index tab pages for each section. It is in the 3-ring binder style (it actually has 5 rings) with a hard cover in the distinctive red and white plaid design. This is a well rounded cookbook and a must for every kitchen. This Revised Edition Seventh Printing has a 1965 copyright by Meredith Publishing Co..
