This small piece of advertising was called a tip tray. In the center is a beautiful young girl with the blush of innocence. Her loose curls cascade down the nape of her neck with is adorned with a double strand choker. There appears to be a hair comb and a dark bow nestled in her hair as well as a couple of pink roses. She’s a bit seductive with one bare shoulder and a feather boa over the other shoulder. The colors and detail are subtly beautiful. Along the inside edge of the tray, across her breast it reads; Copyright 1907 by The American Art Works Successors to the Meek Company Coshoston. In gold, around the outer flange of the tray it reads; “Royal Purple Grape Juice” “Nature’s Best Tonic”. The back is painted dark drab green.
It measures about 4 ¼” in diameter and is in very good condition with minimal wear and fine crazing which is very light. There is some minor chip wear to the outer edge over the tray which can be seen in the pictures. The painted back is in good condition with minimal wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
