This old paper labeled cardboard box use to contain Premium Carey Salt with Magnesium Carbonate added. It was mined and manufactured by The Carey Salt Co. of Hutchinson, Kansas and it has the same simple graphics on the front and back. It has a metal pour spout on the top and a piece of the protective label. I believe this is from the 1950’s or 1960’s.
The empty box measures about 3 ¼” in diameter by 5 7/16” tall and is in fairly nice condition with light wear. The paper label has good color with minor wear and a few small tears along the edges. The top has stains and soiling and the bottom has something like dried glue on it.
