About UsLouise (Mom) has been in the antique business since the early 1970's when she owned a shop in Philadelphia called Old World Antiques. At Old World Antiques she sold dolls and did doll repair (a skill she learned from Bea Wright, the mother of Richard Wright). After moving to Virginia she continued doll repair in addition to selling antiques. This doll repair evolved into McHugh's Restorations of Richmond, Virginia. McHugh's Restorations specializes in the restoration of porcelain, pottery and glass for the public and for museums. Louise still does the doll repair at McHugh's Restorations.
Brigid (daughter) grew up in the antique business with her parents. She spent time as a young child in the shop of Richard Wright and her fascination with dolls grew from those visits. Brigid and her mother Louise currently sell at many doll shows. Brigid runs McHugh's Restorations along with her sister Kimberley. She and her mother also operate the Estate Sale portion of the business.
