About Pearl's Parlor
Our Service Pledge
Thank you for visiting Pearl's Parlor. We respond to all orders and questions within 24 hours and ship within 1 to 3 business days (Monday thru Friday) following the receipt of your verified payment. Please click on Terms of Sale for additional information. We are always happy to answer any questions or supply more photos upon request. We describe all items as thoroughly as possible and take photos from several different angles. All of our items are vintage and pre-owned, so they will show normal and typical signs of aging and use, as most items with age are not perfect. We avoid the use of subjective descriptions such as Excellent or Very Good, as those terms mean different things to different people. However, we do try to mention any damage, flaws, or imperfections or show them in the photos - no matter how minor they may seem.
About Us
We specialize in antique and vintage framed prints. My favorites are chromolithographs and photogravures, as well as the calendar prints from the 1900's to 1940's, often referred to as the Golden Age of Illustration. We also specialize in postcards, lithographed tin items, bookends, book racks, and other small collectibles such as flue covers (which is the item that started my collecting habit back in the 1970's).My shop is named in memory of my mother, Pearl. She first introduced me to antiques and collectibles by taking me with her to estate sales. In particular, I inherited her love of antique and vintage framed prints. Her house was filled with them, and now so is mine. I have collected for years and started selling items from my collections over 16 years ago. I am currently an associate-level member of the Asheford Institute of Antiques, having completed their distance-learning course in 2014.
In addition to downsizing my own collections, the items in my Ruby Lane shop came from antique stores, antique shows, estate sales, auctions and flea markets in the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio. My favorite subjects have always been postcards and framed prints of beautiful Victorian and Art Nouveau style ladies (like the one I'm using for my shop logo), Native American Indian Maidens (as my mother was part Cherokee), and children with their pets.
If you are looking for anything in particular, feel free to email me. I do have a large inventory of items not yet listed. We try to add items daily, so please stop by again. We are always happy to combine shipping costs on multiple purchases. Thanks for visiting!
