About Us
French art nouveau and English antique jewelry, art nouveau lockets, lorgnette chains and silver bracelets are my favorite pieces to offer to my Ruby Lane customers .

I am a fully trained jeweler with 40 years experience in retail. I studied at Dartington college of arts in the early 70s where I learned my jewelry skills. I built up my own business until I owned 3 jewelers shops in England and a jewelry workshop where I trained young people to become successful jewelers in their own right. I ran these retail stores for 25 years. I have been registered with the London assay office as a professional jeweler with my own hallmark since 1974. I sold the retail shops to my staff in 2008 and moved to the coast of beautiful Cornwall with my family . If you check my location you will see that I live in Perranporth where the Poldark novels were written.

Since then I have been an online seller on Etsy and sell fine vintage silver jewelry and collectibles under the seller name Lyonesse4gems where I have built up an impeccable reputation .I was introduced to Ruby Lane by a US seller in 2012 and have been thrilled with the whole experience.

I love to find beautiful pieces in the Brocantes of France and the estate sales of romantic Cornwall to offer to discerning buyers. My best sources are the fine antiques fairs of Lyon in France also Montpellier, Paris and Avignon. These fairs are fun but tough ! you have to be prepared to wake at 5 am to get there in time for the best bargains.
I have a slight advantage in that my mother was Belgian and consequently I speak passable French
I hope you enjoy every little treasure I have to offer as much as I have enjoyed finding them.
