About Us

Hi, my name is Anais! I'm the owner of Lola Bear Vintage, an online shop based in the Republic of Ireland. My passion is vintage jewellery and I'm so happy to be sharing that passion with you all on Ruby Lane.

My background is as an actor as well as working in a retail jewellers. I began my own online shop in 2021 (after catching the vintage jewellery bug), where I began sourcing all kinds of silver and gold pre-loved jewellery from around the world. I try to stock pieces that will suit all budgets and tastes, without compromising on quality. Here you'll find items from the Victorian era, to 1990s and everything in between.

I have recently finished a basic course in gemology and have plans to continue to expand my knowledge in the subject, hopefully ending with a full degree. For now, I buy in good faith from reputable auction houses and dealers who can confirm gemstones etc. I also test all gem set items myself with the Presidium Gem Tester II, as well as conducting further research on an item if needed.

If ever I am not sure of something I will state it in the item's description. You can be sure items in my shop have been looked over by my jeweller, repaired and cleaned up if necessary and are being sold in ready-to-wear condition unless stated. I will also let you know how best to look after each piece so you can enjoy your jewellery to the fullest.
