About UsA piece of jewelry tells a story. There’s a geologist, miner, artisan, purveyor, and of course the wearer(s). I love the stories: the giver and the receiver, the legacy and the memories. Where will you wear your necklace? Who will you give it to, leave it to?
My earliest jewelry memory was of my mother’s dear wishing well brooch. Its miniature wheel and cables look as if they could raise the bejeweled bucket from the well. Multi-colored cabochons form the walls and rhinestones adorn the well’s roof line. I loved seeing it every time my mother wore a certain tan suit. Recently, I found out the history of this piece—it was made in 1939 by Larry Winters. I cherish this pin, and it is now a complete narrative.
When I select pieces of jewelry, you’ll see that I am attracted to the texture, style, color, integrity, craftsmanship, impact and history. It could be an extraordinary 1880s Victorian mourning brooch from England or a 1950s American necklace from Coro Jewelry. And, there will be a few other types of items that I hope will catch your eye!
I have earned an AJP accreditation through the Gemological Institute of America’s Applied Jewelry Professional Program.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you will return often to see what’s new.
