Raised in a family of collectors I got fascinated by the items around us at an early age. Before the age of ten I knew that old coins should NEVER be polished, but it was ok to iron a bank note. I finally ended up with a masters degree in Archaeology, Ethnology and History. After graduation a started to work at County administration board in close cooperation with Central board of National antiquities. Later I worked with collections at different museums. The last job before I started my buisness in 2018 was at Beda Hallberg´s arkiv. B H was the founder of Swedens most famous charity organizations, Majblomman, for the benefit of children with TBC. She donated a lot of personal items to the archive. My job was to organize this. Despite all intriguing knowledge I gain, during all years I also had an etrepreneurial call back in my head. Finally I had the possibility to start my own venture. In 2020 I was asked by the magazine Scandinavian Retro to write articles about older costume jewellery. How to spot the differences between the decades. During the years at museums I have learned a lot of dating objects and to identify the materials. Here on Ruby Lane I will strive to sell an interesting variety of beautiful and interresting items. Living in Sweden I also have rich access to the Swedish / Scandinavian market which I hope will come all shop visitors to good. Wellcome!
