About Us
On a trip to England 11 years ago to buy furniture, I purchased several Edwardian necklaces. Little did I know that I would receive compliments whenever I wore them, and that friends and family would want to buy them. So I went back and purchased more, signed up for a booth at an antiques show, and before I knew it, I was operating a burgeoning business! Several years later, I left my job in public relations to devote myself full time to the antiques business.

I learn by doing. I bought books on antique and vintage costume jewelry, attended seminars and exchanged information with colleagues. My background in art helped. I received a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY, with a minor in art history. I wrote my master's thesis on Art Nouveau design. Prior to that I attended The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where I was awarded a B.A. in English Literature.

My grandparents and parents influenced me greatly, the former collecting European antiques and paintings, and the latter, Civil War antiques and Americana.

My lifelong admiration for all things well-designed, my experience in writing, public relations and marketing, and a natural curiosity to discover how things are made and where they come from have all come together. Now my heart skips a beat when in my travels I find a beautiful Art Deco sautoir or a 1940s sterling gold vermeil Retro pin.

I believe in lifelong learning and so enjoy sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Finally, I'm grateful for the many customers who appreciate my taste. I have lectured about costume jewelry as part of the Antiques and Appraisal Series sponsored by the New Castle Historical Society at the Chappaqua Library in Chappaqua, NY, and recently made a similar presentation at Newbridge on Charles, a senior community in Dedham, MA.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. I look forward to hearing from you or seeing you sometime soon at a show!
