About Eva AntiquesWelcome to Eva Antiques. Established since 2007, we sell beautiful and unique antique jewellery, paying close attention to quality and detail. We particularly specialise in jewellery from the late Georgian period through to the Art Deco period and are always looking out for those one-off finds that add an extra element to any jewellery collection.
We aim to ship within 48 hours of purchase.
Shipping within the US is FREE for all orders over $100. For orders under $100, we charge $7. If the shipment is to travel overseas, we charge a flat rate of $25. Within the US, we always ship using USPS Priority Mail for orders under $750 or USPS Express Mail for orders over $750. For worldwide shipping we use USPS Global Priority Mail (order under $750) or Global Express Mail (order over $750).
All orders will be fully insured for the retail value in case of loss or damage during transit and we will provide the tracking reference once we have it. For Priority Mail orders we will receive a delivery confirmation; for Express Mail, a signature will be required upon delivery.
Please be aware that additional import, sales or customs taxes may be added according to your country's requirements. These costs are your responsibility. All sales within Georgia are subject to a 6% sales tax.
As this purchase has been made through the distance selling method, you have, by law, a cooling off period of 7 days in which you can cancel the order prior to shipment. If you have already sent payment, you will receive a full refund.
LAYAWAY PAYMENT OPTION
We are open to organising layaway payment options. The arrangement of this requires the buyer to contact us so that we can organise a suitable plan. The initial payment for a layaway arrangement is a 20% non-refundable deposit. After that, the terms are negotiable to suit both buyer and seller. If you would like to discuss layaway payment options, please contact me through Ruby Lane. If you have purchased an item and paid in instalments via a layaway arrangement, it is non-refundable.
Ruby Lane have a refund policy, which we are very happy to adhere to. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will refund the full amount excluding postage. For this, you will need to notify us within 3 days of receipt via either e-mail or telephone that you would like to return the item. Once we have confirmed receipt of this notification, we will need to receive confirmation that the item has been sent via a tracking reference within 3 days. Please ensure the item is packaged and addressed correctly and sent via a suitable method. We cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or do not reach us in their original condition. Please do not use paper envelopes as jewellery will tear through these.
We will send the purchase price back to you via the method by which you paid as soon as we have received the item back and we are satisfied that it is in its original condition. It should also include the original box or packaging e.g. velvet bag/box. The cost of return postage will be at your own expense.
Returns and credits will be processed within 3 days of receipt and inspection of the item. We will confirm receipt of the returned item and completion of the refund via e-mail. Please note that re-sized items are non-refundable, as are items paid for using a layaway payment option.
Additional Policies and FAQs
We endeavour to describe all items as accurately as possible using our expert knowledge. We handpick each and every item in our shop and love to take the time to find pieces of true quality and uniqueness. We always assess every piece and in some cases will revert to an independent appraiser or certification agency. To gain an accurate weight of a diamond or any other gemstone, you would need to remove the stone from the ring. As this is antique jewellery, we would rather not remove the stones to weigh them separately as it can compromise the piece significantly. As such, all carat weights are an approximation based on the 'mm' measurements of the stones. In terms of clarity, we grade according to the diamond industry standard gaining the best insight into the stone that the setting will allow. We do our utmost to describe pieces to ensure any repairs or imperfections are divulged straight away.
Each piece is checked by a skilled bench jeweller to ensure that there are no loose stones/catches before it is added to the site for sale. As such, it is a very rare occasion that a stone may come loose. Antique jewellery, however, can be more susceptible to damage/loss and it is advised that you wear a piece with this in mind.
In the unlikely event that the piece does require a stone replacement, we will do this for free within 30 days of purchase. If the loss of a stone or damage is past this date, we would be happy to take a look at the item and assess the nature of the repair. Our expert jeweller can quote for the repair and you can decide whether you would like to go ahead.
We would be happy to re-size a ring for you if required. This can take 1-2 weeks and there is a $35 charge additional to the purchase price. Once rings have been re-sized, they are non-refundable. If you would rather see the item before having the ring re-sized, we would be happy to organise shipment and you can send it back to us when you are ready. Please contact us for details.
