Our Service PledgeI am committed to giving my customers the best possible buying experience; to this end I guarantee that my items are authentic and that I will respond to orders and questions promptly and with utmost courtesy.
About UsI have been passionate about antiques and collectibles for over thirty years. During that time I have worked for a major London auction house, run my own antiques stall at Grays Antiques in London, written for and edited magazines relating to the world of antiques and collectibles, written books on my specialist subject (teddy bears and soft toys) and worked as an off-screen valuer on a popular BBC antiques show where I was expected to be knowledgeable about everything from Regency jewellery, Victorian coins, scrimwshaw, early Worcester tea cups and Edwardian silverware!
While I am probably best known for my interest in teddy bears and soft toys, I love all types of juvenilia including dolls, doll houses and accessories, wooden toys, puzzles and games. I also have a keen interest in books, postcards, sewing antiques, vintage fashion, textiles and traditionally feminine items such as powder compacts, scent bottles etc. Additionally, I adore anything Arts & Crafts and have pretty extensive knowledge of British Art Deco ceramics.
Although writing books (fiction and non-fiction) is currently my main occupation, I feed my antiques obsession by sourcing the kind of items that I love which may be beautiful, interesting, rare or downright quirky. My customers can depend on me for an honest appraisal of my items - I always draw attention to any flaws - and for friendly and reliable service.
