I have been selling on Ruby Lane since 2011 beautiful estate fine jewelry and vintage costume jewelry. I have experience in sales for over 30 years working in antique shops, jewelry stores, and galleries.
Accepted methods of payment are Paypal, most credit cards through Paypal, (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), personal checks and money orders. If you do not have a Paypal account you can still purchase using Paypal. Also, I will be happy to process orders over the phone through my shop's virtual credit card system. Call me at 919-607-2537. and leave your name and phone number. I will do my best to return your call within 24 hours. I am also happy to process personal checks. Once the check is deposited, there is an 8 banking day clearance period which is mandatory.
I use USPS 1st class parcel for domestic shipments. This is usually the least expensive way to ship and most of my customers prefer this. USPS Priority 3-day is another option but is usually a little more expensive. Overnight shipping is available at an extra cost. Insurance is required on all shipments.
On international shipping, I use USPS 1st class international. It does not come with tracking. The customer can use the customs number to track once it is in their country. I will not be able to do so on my end. Again, most customers are fine with this since it is the least expensive way to ship. Also, I put the actual price you paid on the customs form, no exceptions. Insurance is purchased through an online insurer. Insurance is required on all international shipping. It can take anywhere from 10-30+ days to receive packages depending on the destination. Again, if you want a quicker option, I am happy to do that. Please know these options are expensive and you will need to cover the extra expense. You will need to ask for this option by written email through the shop.
My return policy follows Ruby Lane's standard 3 day return notification from date of receipt. I determine this by the online USPS tracker delivery date. If you decide to return your purchase, please notify me within 3 days from receipt of item and then return the item within 24-48 hours. According to Ruby Lane policy, all returned items must be shipped in the same manner as sent. You will need to purchase tracking and insurance when returning merchandise. Return shipping costs are not reimbursed.
Restocking Fee And Final Sale Policies:
No restocking fee when notified within 3 days of receipt and returned within 7 days. If I do not hear from you after 3 days, I will finalize the sale. All sales are final after 3 days from delivery. I go by the online USPS tracker date of delivery.
If something is being purchased for a special occasion beyond 3 days, please let me know at purchase (i.e., birthdays, anniversaries and holidays). I am happy to extend the return policy for special occasions. Please make this request in writing via email.
There are re-stocking fees for some returned layaway items. See layaway policy.
Layaway plans can be designed around budgets. Typical layaway plans are 25-30% deposit with 60 days to pay in full. A 60 day layaway would have the 25-30% deposit with the remaining balance split in half and paid every 30 days over a total of 60 days. A 90 day layaway would have the 25-30% deposit with the remaining balance split into 3 payments paid every 30 days over a total of 90 days. Longer layaways up to 5 months are available as well. Thirty and 60 day returned layaway items have a 15% restocking fee. Longer layaways, 90 days and over, will be issued store credit only.
If you decide you want to make a purchase on layaway, complete the purchase order and email me asking for the layaway plan you are interested in. I will send you an electronic invoice from Paypal with your first billing for the deposit. You will pay from that invoice. Every 30 days, you will receive another invoice from Paypal for that months billing. If you want to use another method of payment to pay your layaway, that is fine.
