About UsWelcome to Docs Antiques where every day is a special RUBY RED SALE DAY and we offer real discounts on quality antiques and collectibles. So we personally invite you to come on in and browse, ask a question and maybe even find that special antique or example of fine art you've been searching for at just the right price. We can be reached by phone (voice only, no texting to keep life simple) or by email (see Shop menus). And if you've been here before, then you may already remember that antique pottery, glass and primitives are our primary specialty, however we are also always adding the interesting or uncommon item in fine arts and collectibles as well. But most importantly for both past patron and new visitor, we take pride in pricing our items to be both fair and highly competitive Before we list an item on Ruby Lane, we search the major selling venues to determine if we can beat 99% of the competition (of course, this requires measuring apples to apples where condition is also very critical, too). If we cannot save you money, then we do not list the item. And so we want all of our customers and browsers to know that we have already done that homework for you and the rest is simply up to you to decide if today is that special day where you will treat yourself or someone else to a wonderful antique or well cherished item. If we are ever wrong about our price or if the item you buy does not meet your full expectations, then we encourage you to simply send it back and we will gladly work with you to correct any problems. In the past ten years, for example we have had no returns and can only point to very pleased customers. And if you are a recent satisfied buyer too, then we encourage you to leave feedback for our shop by clicking on the option in our shop after you have completed a sale (email us if you have any trouble since the trustpilot feedback menu is not always easy to find).
Since opening our shop on Ruby Lane, Docs Antiques has broaden its offerings. If your delight is antique pottery and porcelain -- then do take a moment to look at our listings -- whether it is creamware, pearlware, agateware, faience, salt glaze stoneware, delftware (tin glazed), Wedgwood, Jackfield, rosso antico, black basalt, Portobello, yellowware (yellow ware), alkaline glazed stoneware, porcelain, common redware, mocha, engine turned, annular/banded, slipware, scratch blue, sprigged or whatever. Or maybe you like glassware, then do review our 18th, 19th and 20th century selections (wine glasses, rinsers, decanters, art glass, etc.). If Folk Art and primitives are your desire, then also make sure you check our offerings along those venues as well as our fine art and paintings. For some 70% of what we have listed here on Ruby Lane, please be assured that we have selected those items specifically because they are unique items and no others exactly like them are currently offered anywhere else on the Internet today.
All of the items we offer here have been hand picked after searching hundreds of back road antique shops, antique shows and estate sales over the years to spare you from racking up thousands of miles given the price of gas today. So please browse our shop and enjoy a virtual antiquing trip without ever leaving your home, shop or office! And our searches continue today so that we may bring you even more unusual, rare or simply highly sought examples of decorative arts items and material culture dating from the last three centuries.
Whenever possible, we also enjoy blending anthropology and our knowledge of material culture acquired from supervising historical archaeological excavations over the years to help convey some of the more interesting aspects and culture history of the items offered in our shop. Of course, we are still learning as we proceed, too and appreciate the notes sent from buyers and dealers who kindly take a moment to e-mail us.
Please feel free to ask about any items we have and also do let us know what you may be seeking just in case we happen to stumble across it tomorrow so that we can offer it to you here! We can be reached by phone (voice only, no texting to keep life simple) or by email (see Shop menus). All our antiques are backed with the Ruby Lane return guarantee. That means we also provide a full refund including all shipping and insurance if the item you purchase from us is not accurately described physically (please refer to our Service Pledge for full details). We encourage you to browse around and if you do see something you wish to purchase, simply remember that "your full satisfaction is our guarantee" - - and thanks for stopping by and visiting today.
