I try to ship all orders within 1 business day after receipt of payment except on weekends and holidays. All items are guaranteed to be authentic and true to the description I provide. Vintage items have had a life and nearly always have an imperfection or two. I do my best to point those out so you know exactly what you're getting. My commitment to excellence is grounded in your total satisfaction.
About Us
Cosmo Collection is a showcase of vintage costume jewelry that I find especially beautiful and interesting. Color, design, texture and workmanship have always inspired me. Owning or simply appreciating an intriguing vintage piece is deeply satisfying; sharing my appreciation with someone who is equally inspired by its beauty is even more satisfying than possessing it myself.

My site is a place to relish the riches of imagination and creativity expressed by designers across the decades from the 1940s to the 1990s. It is a place to enjoy yourself and forget your troubles, a place to be swept away to another decade, another life, another plane of self-expression and exuberance. It's a place to reconnect with your inner self, or to re-imagine an alternate self in a different time and place.

As for me, I was born an out-of-place jewelry aficionado in a small mountain town. I grew up with very little bling in my early life, but I do remember every single piece of jewelry I was fortunate enough to get. As I achieved success in a corporate setting, I was able to build a collection of fine jewelry, as well as an impressive assortment of costume jewelry. I discovered that I was actually more attached to the lavish costume pieces because they had more character, more intrigue, and more life. I became especially smitten with Kenneth Jay Lane and the gorgeous, inventive, and sometimes, outrageous pieces he created. In 1993 I called QVC to place an order for his enamel frog bracelet (still fabulous!) and was asked to speak with him on air. I was thrilled! It was a short conversation, but it sealed my fascination with him and his jewelry. In the intervening years, I have become a serious student of all vintage costume jewelry, although you'll still see many KJL pieces in my collection. Once infatuated, twice devoted.

Now that I’m retired from an active corporate life, I finally have time to devote to the things that I find fun, like sourcing new treasures to present in my store. Several years ago I also began making my own jewelry, following the inspiration of nature to guide my designs and the technical expertise I gained from collecting to guide my construction. I am indeed lucky to live in the Pacific Northwest where the sea, mountains and abundant natural beauty inspire me daily.

Cosmo Collection was created as a specialty venue to showcase vintage costume jewelry and my handcrafted pieces when I am so inspired. I believe the ultimate joy of collecting and designing is in the sharing. I hope you enjoy my selections and that my collection is inspiring and uplifting to you.
