Our Service Pledge
I will respond to all inquiries and orders within 1 business day, and guarantee the authenticity of all my items. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, I will refund your full purchase price. You, the customer, are responsible for the cost of return postage and full-value insurance. Please read Ruby Lane's Site-Wide Return Policies Practices which I follow. If you wish to return an item, please email me within 3 days of receipt of delivery to authorize the return.

I strive to accurately describe all items, and only put up for sale those pieces in very fine antique or vintage condition. There may occasionally be antique items offered which have some damage, but which I believe are historically important or have interesting provenance. A complete Condition description will note any issues.
About Us
About Me

I inherited the pack-rat gene from my mother, but have no idea where the collecting gene came from! I started collecting 20 years ago, firstly a wide variety of vintage costume jewelry and then, I moved on to antique jewelry, as I love the history associated with things from the past. You, the buyer, will be the beneficiary of this broad, eclectic range of jewelry in my store. While costume jewelry ruled my life, I co-authored a well-received book, titled Miriam Haskell Jewelry. After its publication, I transitioned to the glories of antique jewelry.

During my "costume period" I acquired a broad range of signed and unsigned unique pieces. I have a large collection of Miriam Haskell (from both her unsigned and signed periods), Boucher, Eisenberg, Reja, DuJay, Schreiner, Trifari, Hagler and many more designer pieces. I also love and appreciate European designers including CIS, Roger Jean-Pierre, Rousselet, Ornella and Coppola e Toppo. I also have many beautiful and unique unsigned pieces from a number of different time periods.

I particularly love enameled pieces and specialize in 1930s German Machine Age jewelry by Jakob Bengel, as well as the superb work of Theodor Fahrner.

I initially collected Victorian-period antique jewelry, but quickly moved into Georgian period pieces. I have a wide range of necklaces, bracelets, rings and brooches, including many with historic interest. I have a broad selection of cameos, micromosaics and hardstone pieces, and lovely reverse-carved crystals. I have recently extended my collecting into Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts pieces.

To see more of my collection, please go to my Bluboi albums on ImageEvent. I am also listed on Collector's Weekly Best of the Web (“Hall of Fame”).

I have been involved in various jewelry clubs and have given convention presentations on Miriam Haskell jewelry. I am a member of the following online clubs: Costume Jewelry Collectors International, ASJRA (Association for the Study of Jewelry and Related Arts), and Society of Jewellery Historians.
