About Caroline's Jewelry with a Past

Caroline's Jewelry with a Past offers fine antique and estate jewelry that is both affordable and wearable. New to the shop are artisan crafted items using antique components and owner designed hand wrought pieces. We have been on the internet since 1995 and on Ruby Lane since 2013.

We are members of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, National Society of Jewelry Historians and the Foundation for Appraisal Education. Our training was received from the International Society of Appraisers and USPAP which defines guidelines for conduct for an appraiser. Caroline's Jewelry was a featured dealer in Dale Nicholl's book "Antique Enamelled Jewelry".

We purchase antique and estate jewelry. We do not purchase watches or costume jewelry. Please contact us for our purchasing guidelines.

We offer layaway plans for items at ticketed prices.

All items over $1000.00 USD will be sent USPS registered mail. There may be a slight delay in receiving the item due to postage requirements for tracking the package. You can view the information on registered mail at the USPS site. All items over $1000.00 cannot be shipped via overnight mail unless the purchaser takes responsibility for loss or damage.

All international shipments will reflect the full value of the item for customs purposes. The item will be shown as antique. Please contact your local customs agency for any additional charges which might be incurred in shipping, taxes or duties. An item must be capable of being insured. Please check with your postal authority for package insurability.

Occasionally, personal checks require 7- 10 business days to clear. Please allow time for this in your purchase.

Due to the volume of questions we receive, we offer a non-binding (not for insurance purposes) online appraisal of your personal items for a minimum charge. We will be glad to quote you the fees after we receive the photos of your items.
