Welcome to California Dreamin' Art Jewelry Etc! My name is Patrick Kapty, and I've been in business for over 40 years. In my store I offer an international and eclectic array of art jewelry from antique to Art Nouveau to Art Deco to mid century modernist and brutalist, and from all over the world including Scandinavian, Mexican, American modernist, and antique Chinese export silver jewelry and Asian art objects. My store also features genuine vintage Bakelite jewelry, as well as other vintage and early plastics, and fine artwork from original paintings to signed prints to sculpture and wall art, art glass, artisan pottery, and fine enamel artwork. I'm adding new items every week, and I have a huge inventory on hand that I haven't had a chance to list yet, so if you don't see it here, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm a gemologist, a jewelry historian, and a retired silversmith with jewelry design experience. I'm aIso a published author in the field of jewelry history, and the co-founder (with the late Marbeth Schon) of the Modern Silver website and magazine. I was a contributing author to the landmark exhibition and catalog, "William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance: Maestros de Plata" back in 2002.
