About Aunties' Attic, Antiques
Our Service PledgeWe will respond to all inquires and orders within 48 hours and will guarantee the authenticity of our items.
About UsAunties’ Attic, Antiques is a diverse general line antiques business which has been in business since 1979. In addition to a permanent location business (now open by appointment only), we have done and continue to do quality antiques shows throughout the Midwest (having now surpassed 600 shows and markets), conduct estate sales and have also started several antiques shows.
Priscilla’s experience is “hands-on,” as she was an associate in the fine china, crystal and sterling department of a major department store. From there she worked as a manager and buyer for a gift shop which carried numerous lines of now collectible gift items. Priscilla works generally with our collectible items.
Richard’s training in antiques began with a Victorian era aunt and her Victorian furnished home… learning first hand of the Victorian and Edwardian ways. He started his personal collecting career at the age of 17 (still having his first collected item). In college he was taught as a historian with an emphasis in Asian Studies. Richard does most of the antiques and art research, a great portion of the buying and all of the shows and markets.
Professional organizations include: Associated Antiques Dealers of America (AADA) and the Central Illinois Antiques Dealers Association (CIADA). Richard is currently a Zone Director and Board Member for the AADA and has been President, Vice-President and Board Member for the CIADA; and together they are Board Members of the Blue & White Pottery Club.
We believe our experience has and will continue to give you, our customers, confidence when shopping with us. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Thank you for visiting Aunties' Attic, Antiques on Ruby Lane.
