About Aunt Janie's Doll Trunk
Our Service PledgeWe respond to all orders within 24 hours and ship within 48 hours of full payment including shipping and insurance.
We guarantee the authenticity of all our items and that they will match written descriptions and photos.
All items are antique and will usually have evidence of age or use. Not every little scuff or scratch on a body is mentioned. I try to fully inspect bisque heads and describe all I find.
About UsThanks for Stopping By!
"Aunt Janie's" fascination with antique dolls began in 1977 after graduating with a BA in Art when she took up the skilled craft of creating fine replicas of antique doll treasures. Winning "Best in Show" awards in international competitions, including the coveted "Millie", she studied various aspects of the trade, including authentic costuming, and gained the understanding of how these dolls were originally created. With the generous help of avid collectors and authors that allowed hands-on examination of their originals, it was her dream to someday collect a few antique dolls of her own.
She felt God blessing the work of her hands and it wasn't long before that dream was realized! Having original dolls at hand when painting led to accuracy in color matching and producing "the look" became the by product of the love and passion with which she worked. Over the years, she has enjoyed finding some of the best of their kind and today, "Aunt Janie" is dedicated to presenting display ready antique French and German porcelain bisque dolls for the most discriminating collector.
If you don't see what you are looking for, please ask. It just might be in one of her other trunks! Her's aren't "just any" bisque dolls, but attentively selected dolls that have "personality and soul"… ones that will make you smile.
You may already know "Aunt Janie" as Janice Cuthbert Allen of "My Gramma's Doll Trunk" on eBay where she has sold antique dolls and related items for over 15 years. Or perhaps you know Aunt Janie as, "Doll Dr. Jan" specializing in antique bisque doll repair or replacement antique cork pates.
