"Aunt Janie's" fascination with antique dolls began in 1977 after graduating with a BA in Art when she took up the skilled craft of creating fine replicas of antique doll treasures. Winning "Best in Show" awards in international competitions, including the coveted "Millie", she studied various aspects of the trade, including authentic costuming, and gained the understanding of how these dolls were originally created. With the generous help of avid collectors and authors that allowed hands-on examination of their originals, it was her dream to someday collect a few antique dolls of her own.

She felt God blessing the work of her hands and it wasn't long before that dream was realized! Having original dolls at hand when painting led to accuracy in color matching and producing "the look" became the by product of the love and passion with which she worked. Over the years, she has enjoyed finding some of the best of their kind and today, "Aunt Janie" is dedicated to presenting display ready antique French and German porcelain bisque dolls for the most discriminating collector.
