I got my very first antique for $12 at an antique show when I was 7. It was a gilded cofferette with roses and delicate scrolled legs. It was at another vendors table and I kept going back because I couldn't take my eyes off of it! Grammie bought it for me and I remember her saying "You can't make any money selling antiques if you keep buying them"! I didn't care, I have it still, and I treasure it.
