We are passionate about Scandinavian vintage and antique jewelry, silver, and antique boxes. We like to keep it fun as Rubylane is a very nice market place and we have made contact with many wonderful people who share our devotion. We don't sell modern in style pieces, copies, or reproductions. If an item is stated to be from a specific era, then it was made during that time.

We offer hassle free returns, and layaways are welcome. We are happy to answer questions and to send additional photos. We strive for your 5-star feedback rating. If we have not achieved this, please contact us and we'll work it out.

We operate from Sweden. Insured and tracked shipping. Worldwide $12. Orders above $150 (items price): DHL Express. Below $150: Postal. Save with combined shipping if you buy more than one item. -Wait for a revised invoice or we will immediately refund any shipping over $12USD

Condition terms defined.

Excellent: Any flaws on the front are only visible when viewed closely at certain angles or under a loupe, and all flaws are minor, like surface scratches or minor tarnishing.

Great: Minor flaws are visible when looking normally at the piece but the flaws are still insignificant to the enjoyment of the piece, like some tarnish on the front. Under close inspection through a loupe there may be a micro-chip off a stone or a slight crack, but those will be described in the condition section and will not be eye-visible.

Good: There may a crack, chip, strong tarnish, damage to the back of the piece, but overall the piece can still be enjoyed. There will always be a full description of the condition.

Fair to Poor: We very very seldom sell these pieces, but in the rare circumstances that we do, there will be an even fuller and more explicit description.

If in some very special heaven there is a register of the things which people have given each other, small silver boxes must rank high on the list. Men of all ranks and stations have given them to each other. Women gave special silver boxes to their fathers and loved ones. Kings have used them to convey gratitude to courtiers and honour to ambassadors. States and cities, grateful for rescue from sacking or oblivion, have bestowed them upon generals and admirals. Heroic deeds have been commemorated with them, secrets confined to their hidden panels. Most of them have change hands many times, and the tiniest of them will at some time or other have perhaps carried an intolerably heavy cargo of joys or sighs.

Beautiful, delicate item, safely delivered. I have come across the seller by chance, while searching for a particular type of pendant , and afterwards I have bought several unrelated items , which I have been very pleased with. I have now made several purchases from Mr. Niklasson, and found that I had not left a review yet. He is very knowledgeable about what he sells, does meticulous research, and offers unique items at very reasonable prices. I bought a David Anderson pendant, a bracelet (a gift), and a pair of earrings. In all 3 cases, the pieces were shipped almost immediately, and arrived in Virginia with no problems whatsoever. If you hesitate about buying from an overseas shop, you need not be concerned about Antiquesilverboxes. Mr. Niklasson knows what he is doing.
