About AgathaHamster Antiques
Our Service PledgeI aim to respond to all enquiries or orders within 24 hours and guarantee the authenticity of any of my items.
About UsI have always been fascinated with the many ways silver has been worked throughout history. Having collected for years I now offer a mix of rare and beautiful vintage and antique silver jewellery in my shop dating from the 18th and 19th centuries up to the exciting 20th century Modernist period. To compliment my jewellery I will also be listing some rare and unusual antiques. I have a background in archaeology and research and have been selling antique and vintage items for a number of years prior to joining Ruby Lane.
As far as is possible, all of my items are extensively researched, with the aid of specialists where required. Some of the things I sell can require hours of work in order to correctly identify but for me owning antique jewellery is also owning a slice of social history; It's a connection to the person who made it as well as to the time it was made in.
Most importantly I believe vintage and antique jewellery was made to be worn and enjoyed, whether thirty or a hundred and thirty years old.
