RUBY LANE DOLL WEEK IS NOVEMBER 4-11 | JOIN IN THE CELEBRATION!

November 4th - 11th is Doll Week on Ruby Lane! Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Ruby Lane is celebrating the preservation, art, maintenance, and splendor of dolls, and doll-related items with a week dedicated to them. We are hosting a virtual celebration, which means you can attend no matter where you are in the world. Join in with our cameras as we explore The Grovian Doll Museum in Pacific Grove, California. We will be going in-depth with the curators of the museum to bring you some of the rarest dolls in the world. You can look forward to a seminar on Albert Marque dolls, a Bru roundtable with devoted collectors, explore early dollhouses and roomboxes, and so much more. Join our Doll Week Event on the dedicated Doll Facebook page to get all of the details as they unfold, and watch Ruby Lane's main Facebook page for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree on the site. Learn, share, LOVE with the Dolls Lane - The Doll World's Home.

DO YOU REMEMBER PATTI PLAYPAL?

Patti Playpal, and her friends and family, are more than dolls; they are companions and members of the family to those who own and love them. Entire books, doll clubs, and newsletters are devoted to them as well. Dolls in the Playpal family included Bonnie Playpal, Penny Playpal, Suzy Playpal, and Peter Playpal. Playpal dolls are fun to arrange in holiday settings, especially around Christmas trees. They are terrific for dolls' tea parties, and look amazing posed with children's tables and chairs with miniature tea sets gracing the table. Get out your Playpals, arrange them in fun groups and assemble cute wardrobes for them. They want to play! Below are some of our favorite PlayPal dolls, as well as more favorites from the 1960's era.

TOTALLY TERRI LEE | THE WORLD'S BEST-DRESSED DOLL

The beautifully painted faces of Terri Lee dolls look like a portrait in oils gone 3D. They are among the most beautiful dolls ever made, and were produced between 1946 and 1962. The dolls, like Barbie, were named after their creator's daughter, Harriet Wilma Gradwohl, Schrepel, (1927-1998) who went by the name Terri Lee. Terri Lee continues to be popular with collectors today. Read all about Terri Lee Dolls in our blog, Totally Terri Lee.
