EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ARTIST HELEN KISH

On Friday, August 28th, Ruby Lane interviewed artist Helen Kish live in her doll design studio. Helen Kish is the main souvenir artist for the Ruby Lane sponsored 68th UFDC Doll Convention in Orlando (August 2nd to 5th). Helen Kish has been making dolls for more than 30 years with astonishing genius as an artist, and major acclaim to her credit. In fact, Kish became a doll artist at a time when not many were creating dolls. Her style is unusual because as an art student, she studied drawing and anatomy, as well as other types of art, and applied these techniques to making dolls. You can see this exclusive interview on the Ruby Lane Dolls YouTube Channel - NOW! Please share with your doll clubs and friends.

THE ROSE PERCY PROJECT AND RUBY LANE DOLLS

Ruby Lane is a sponsor of the upcoming Rose Percy Project event that will be held in Springfield, Illinois, on September 9th. The Ruby Lane sponsorship helps to ensure the success of the day, and also helps make possible a generous donation to a variety of charities for veterans. The Rose Percy Project was established in 2010 to aid in the protection and preservation of historic Civil War artifacts that relate to dolls and other childhood items. The mission of Rose Percy herself is to aid those charities that place a special emphasis on soldiers who have suffered brain injuries, and the resulting mental health issues that may accompany them. It is very important for Miss Rose Percy's endeavors to help war veterans and their families, and other worthy causes. To date, Rose Percy Events have provided over $301,400 in financial aid to those in need. Registration for the event is open with a very limited amount of seats left. Ruby Lane will be providing live coverage of the entire weekend's festivities. Read more about the Rose Percy Project.
