This is a fabulous Georgian locket. I adore the design on this piece. It is crafted from 18K Yellow gold Agate and quartz. The clear rock crystal quartz cabochons are set along the outer boarder of this locket. They are all bezel set and foil backed. The foil is in very good condition and not blackened from moisture as most do. The center stone is a banded Agate of a dark brown with a single white band around the lower portion of the cabochon. The brown in direct sun light does have slight color variations of brown. The back of this locket houses the beveled glass with a generic but period insert. There is an open cavity just behind the removable frame. The bail a good size to accommodate most period chains. I have fitted this locket with a Victorian 9K rollo chain with a barrel clasp. Both the locket and the chain are in excellent condition with minimal wear. No damage noted. The chain possesses a 9CT hallmark and the locket bears no visible hallmarks. We have tested and guarantee all stones and gold content.
