This is a unique pendant. It is a late victorian piece dating from the late 1800's. It is crafted from 9K yellow gold with a natural 3.75 carat Opal. The opal is a white opal with a lovely matrix of colors: Green, Red, Orange, Blue, Yellow & Pink. The color are visible in natural as well as indoor lighting. The opal is a pear cabochon cut. There is a fracture on the bottom left corner as photographed. It reminds stable and intact in its setting. The setting is yellow gold with a crown setting which secures the opal in place with no movement. At the tip of each crown point is a rose cut diamond which are bezel set. I thought this was such a unique setting with surprise diamonds which add that little something extra for this lovely pendant. A chain which is NOT included is simply inserted to the top side.
